ESA Awards Initial €700M Contract for Next-Gen Sentinel-1 Satellites

ESA has awarded Thales Alenia Space an initial €700 million contract to build two Sentinel-1 Next Generation radar satellites.

The contract represents the first phase of the project and is worth €700 million.
