NASA approved the Rosalind Franklin Support and Augmentation project, moving the agency's contribution to ESA's Mars rover mission into implementation.
NASA is supplying support elements for ESA's rover campaign ahead of the mission's planned 2028 launch.
The mission is led by ESA and that agency is responsible for providing the spacecraft, including the carrier module, the landing platform, as well as the rover and surface operations.
