Story Brief

Northrop Grumman said April 11 that its Cygnus XL cargo spacecraft S.S. Steven R. Nagel was on its way to the International Space Station after flying the NG-24 commercial resupply mission. The update placed the spacecraft in orbital transit after launch earlier the same day.

The post identified the spacecraft by name and confirmed that NG-24 had moved from launch operations into the flight phase ahead of station capture. Northrop designated the mission as the second flight of its larger Cygnus XL cargo variant.

NG-24 launched aboard Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on April 11. The next operational milestone is capture at the station.
